"Real" Buttons Freebie
The reason why I called these "Real" buttons is because that is actually what they are, the actual "Memory Makers" thin buttons that I had purchased waaaaay back when I was still paper scrapping. Even though there are tons of great digital buttons out there, I really needed the look of some "Memory Makers" buttons for a layout that I was working on. So, what could I do but scan them into the 'puter, lol. So after I spent a couple of hours getting rid of background (geesh, what a pain in the butt!!!) and colorizing them I figured after putting in that much effort for a few buttons I might as well share with everyone else. Thus here is my "Real" Buttons Freebie.
The "Smoky Blue" color is the actual color of the buttons that I scanned in, the rest I colorized. Colorizing is extremely simple to do, and if there is a color that is not in this collection that you need you can try out my Colorizing Tutorial at ScrapArtist. If after colorizing you find you still cannot achieve the color you are looking for then please send me an email with the color configuration, or a swatch and I will do my best to create a set for you. There are four sizes in each set including the little bitty buttons. For each color I have included a set with shadows and without and the set with the shadows have the same settings as I used in the layout below. Hmmmm... I am going to have to make some buttons with little ties on them as well... oh well, next time.
Alex's Soldiers
I was browsing online at 2peas and noticed they have made a bunch of improvements at the site, looks good, you should go check it out! So as I was browsing through and checking out the Garden Girl section I came across THIS fantastic layout by Garden Girl Lisa McGarvey, which I just had to lift!. And coincidentally, Lisa's layout is actually a lift of THIS layout by the May Guest Garden Girl, Robyn Werlich. Lisa's layout really appealed to me because my Alex is soooo into Soldiers as well and having an opportunity to scrap these photos that have been sitting on the computer for a while was one that was too good to pass.
Everything is by me, I was experimenting again with making more papers AND of course the buttons are the same ones as above, my new "Real Buttons" freebie. Font is Hotel Coral Essex & Minya Nouvelle.

Hi Lisa, I just heard about your blog from Rachael G. Those buttons are fabulous THank YOU SOOO MUch! I see the water fun freebies to the side and was able to get the element pack, but rapid share says I'd have to wait 77 minutes for the others? do you know why it might be doing that?
